Collegiate Baseball has released it's recruiting rankings for 2007.

LSU is the clear #1 and has a sick amount of talent in their class.

The Irish are ranked #4, a very pleasant surprise; Our new coach must have worked his butt off. Our team was mediocre last year and needs a big infusion of talent for a couple of years in a row to get back to where we can compete to actually go to the CWS.

    Texas is ranked #10

    Baseball Recruit Rankings

Texas A&M didn't make the top 40, surprising to me I'll be interested in Scott's comment on this.

    Terry....

<t>Broken record here but Oregon State continues to amaze me. LSU and their new stadium helps but considering their baseball history they are tired of not being in the national picture at the end of the year.<br/>
A&M was hurt badly by the draft and losing the Ahrens kid from Houston Memorial was a blow. I know the ones they landed from Houston are very good as I have seen two play a bunch.<br/>

As for the upcoming season with all the changes in the structure some of which I don't like at all like all the games that now have to be played during the week you better have a bunch of pitching.</t>

Thank you, Oregon State, for Jacoby Ellsbury.

Did you guys notice who the Nike Ducks hired to coach their new baseball program?

Texas is ranked #4, Doc? I thought your fantasy team was.

What changes? They're playing more weekday games? Is it a Friday/Monday thing or throughout the week?

    Larry hit it.

The draft took out the guys that would have made it a very shiny class for the Aggies, but we got some good players from what I hear.

Some guys closer to the team than me think we'll make some legitimate noise this year.

How about little Univ of San Diego being ranked #9, they beat the Longhorns last year early before conference play started. Must be an up and comming program. I'd have thought that it was a mistake and they meant San Diego State where Tony Gwyn is the coach...but it's not a mistake.

Rick, you caught my eye with that question, so I googled it and this is what I found:
Although I'm a midwesterner, I'm familiar enough with college baseball to know that this was a real coup for the Ducks. I wonder if their baseball unis will be as ugly as their football garb. 8)

<t>This has been huge news in the college baseball world for weeks now. They are paying him 400K a year with a new facility on the way. Oregon State got their attantion with back to back titles.<br/>

As for the unis yes that will be one to watch for sure.</t>
