Steve Spurrier is one of those guys who you love to beat in a ball game but you can appreciate everything he says and find a little humor in it.

    This is my favorite quote:

“There’s so many qualities of people that are successful, but one I like the best is attitude. If you can smile, say yes sir and no sir and be friendly and non-argumentative you can go further in life. … Be a good person, have a wonderful attitude, be a fun person to be around and good things will happen.”

Ralph, Spurrier was and always will be entertaining! Not too many people other that Spurrier and Lou Holtz can lay claim to that type of humor.

Saw an article yesterday that said Spurrier intends on helping the UF offense this spring.

    I hope so.

Might be a few new wrinkles in that passing game next year.

Interesting that he doesn't rate Tim Tebow as the Gators best QB. Liked Danny Wuerffel better, and he doesn't put himself in the top 3. I'd say he was a bit better as a Gator QB than Shane Matthews.
I guess it's a good thing, might be even better if the '64 version of Spurrier could comeback and play QB though.

But Spurrier was one of those guys you just waited for his next quip.

Love Spurrier. I remember a lot of lively discussions here with numerous people who didn't love him back then.

The day he left Florida was a very depressing day for me but I don't believe in looking back and changing history because we don't know what else would change. I am so glad he is back at Florida.

Probably my favorite Gator of all time.
