We let our season tickets go this year after 27 years. Our two daughters kept theirs and the single game tickets went on sale a week ago. One of our daughters was able to get us single game tickets only four rows up from them for LSU and Texas A & M, they are pretty sure the ones that were requested for Georgia will come though also. If so that means that we will go to one daughters house in Kissimmee, Florida on Oct 6, attend the LSU game Oct 7, stay a week and attended Texas A & M on Oct 14, leave on a week cruise with friends from here on Oct 15 - 21. Cruise leaves from Cape Canaveral in Florida. When we get back we will go to our daughters house in Jacksonville stay there a week and attend the Georgia game Oct 28, then come home on Oct 30. Life can be good in retirement. Hey Scott did you get the Gator tickets?
Glad to hear things are working out for you to be able to still attend a few Gator games Bill. Those should be great games and fun for you and Jeannie!
Great news Bill, hope to see you there! We decided to wait, and get ours at the game. We had no idea how many we'd need back in Feb when I would have put in my request...
I think it's a reflection of today's college sports reality. Schools are finding that demand for tickets has dropped off considerably the past half decade. I know ND has had a few games that were questionable "sellouts." It's getting physically and financially more difficult for many of the long time supporters to keep up their commitments. If a stadium doesn't have good wi-fi many of the younger alums can't survive 3 hrs. off line.
Scott, let me know more about when you are going etc. Normally we would travel up and back from Kissimmee on the day of the game. That is from our daughters house. However if Jeanne and I come to Gainesville the day before that will involve some planning on our part and we will have to go back to Kissimmee after the game as we are leaving for a cruise the next day. Let me know what you are doing. How many of you will be going?
gipper, you are right about the tickets. A few years ago we would not have been able to get these tickets.
Bill, I think the plan right now is for us to stay somewhere on the coast and drive up to Gainesville for game day so I don't think you need to change your plans. We can try to meet for lunch/dinner depending on what they set for game time. Right now it looks like Myself, my wife Tonya, Ralph and his wife Ginger. Kesley is probably out, he has blown his travel budget for the year. Any of the other Skybox folks are welcome to join in, even if it's only for the meet before/after the game.
We are leaving on a cruise the next day and drive up and normally drive up and back with our daughter on game day. Probably staying after the game this year is not an option but probably doing something before the game could be. Regardless I hope you trip to Gainesville is an enjoyable trip.
