This morning I read all 4 installments of Charlie Weis' diary-like articles written for the South Bend Tribune during his trip with four other coaches to visit the troops in the Middle East. I was moved by the way he described his experiences. If you are interested and are inclined to take a little time to read the articles - an easy read - I've included below the link to the first of the four articles. Once you open it up, you will see the links to the other three articles.

I read them as well Sid, they were great. Weis sometimes comes off as a jerk (IMHO) but the man does get out there and do a lot of things that are very good as well. We all remember "Pass Right", the special attention he gave to a particular Air Force Squadron that had terrible accident that killed a number of men including Bill Lewis's son, then there is the respect that he shows to the service academies when they play us.
