    Dave,

Check out the Business class seat on Japan Airlines. This is enough for me to have a comfortable flight where I can sleep through at least half of the trans-pacific flight.

    JAL Shell Flat Seat

This is the First class accommodations on the New York to Narita flight. I don't have the status for this...

    JAL 1st class suite

The first class looks wonderful and the business class is heads above anything I ever sat in.

I'll bet cheapass NW doesn't have anything like either though and I wonder about all of the domestics regarding these luxuries.

My only concern is that I am 6'2 with long legs and sometimes it seems as if these types of things are made for people 5' 10 or shorter. Check out that foot rest on the flat seat.....I wonder if I could fit my stretched out legs in there.

In any event I don't have 12 hour overseas flights planned out in my immediate future and I just survived fairly comfortably a RT Tampa-Seattle excursion with minimal discomfort because I had a great Gate agent in Atl refuse the last exit seat to a short guy in line ahead of me who was asking about exit row seating on a 5 hour flight from ATL to SEATAC plus I sprung $15 for a choice aisle row 7 seat on US Air on a 4 hour leg from Phx to TPA.

Delta going out to Sea also had free satellite TV...which was very cool because I watched virtually the entire US OPEN 3rd round on the way out.

Just yesterday, I picked up a one week training class in Tainan City, Taiwan on August 16th. I just calculated the miles and I will be Platinum by the end of that trip.

I fly to Xi'an China on 16-Oct. and stay through 20-Nov. I again fly out to Xi'an on 4-Dec returning on 17-Dec. With those two round trips, I will attain Executive Platinum, the highest status you can attain with AA.

I will get that Suite on the next flight.
