Pulled from the following link: http://deathvalleyvoice.com/2013/10/06/10-lsu-tigers-vs-17-florida-gators-point-spread/ "The No. 10 LSU Tigers host the No. 17 Florida Gators on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on CBS and open as 6.5 point favorites according to VegasInsiders. According to oddshark, LSU is 5-1 on the season but are 3-2-1 against the spread, 1-2 against the spread while playing at Tiger Stadium and 0-1 in SEC games against the spread at home. Florida is 4-1 on the season, 2-3 against the spread, 1-1 against the spread away from The Swamp and 1-0 against the spread in road conference games. The recent rivalry between the two sec teams has been split right down the middle with each team earning five wins over the past 10 meetings with the average score of the 10 games decided by less than a field goal. Florida’s average score in the past 10 meetings is 22.2 while LSU’s scoring average is 19.4."
Had a big LSU fan in today...he's eagerly awaiting the Gators...said they know what to do with Gators down on the Bayou...shoot'em and cook'em!
Interesting game.. normally, you'd think the 'all defense no offense' team would be LSU.. instead, LSU is the run and gun team here with little more than a crossing guard for a defense.. I wonder how this will shake out.. is this where LSU's hangover kicks in? I'm just trying to make sure I'm on the right page.
These two teams battle very even the last ten years with our records with each other being 5-5 during that time with each team winning 5 games and both teams winning 2 national championships. The home field advantage doesn't mean that much in this series, the last 12 games we are 6-6 with the home record being 3-3 for both teams. I have to give LSU a small advantage but not all that much. On the bad news front my local CBS channel is in dispute with Dish network who I have and their programing has been removed from my stations. I have been calling DISH on a regular basis and asking for another CBS channel but no dice. I was noisy enough that I got a $15 a month reduction in my bill for 12 months. $180 for not being able to watch the Gator game. I would give it all back to get the game. I have not been able to get them to tell me why a S. Carolina station is my local channel. S. Carolina is 2 states away. Oh well, life will go on. Go Gators
Forgot to post a link. I don't know why the link won't work in the conventional manner but if interested copy and paste the whole think including the part that doesn't look like part of the link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida–LSU_football_rivalry
I think that "Dash" was a different symbol... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida-LSU_football_rivalry
Now this is pretty creative! 1960: Wristband Robbery Throughout the first half of the 1960 game, in which the Tigers were favored in Baton Rouge, LSU quarterback Jimmy Field effectively moved the ball time and again using plays from his wristband. But in the second quarter, with LSU up 10–0, the Gators sent a nine man blitz against Field. He never saw it coming, and a sea of Gators piled on top of him. When he came out of the mass of bodies, his wristband was gone. The Gators then held Field to just 12 yards passing in the second half, with a lone first down. The Gators came back to win 13–10, and after the game a Gator coach gave the wristband to an official, saying one of his players had found it on the field.
Scott, that was obviously the problem, but I copied it right from the browser. I guess copy didn't recognize the dash right. Thanks, I will keep that in mind in the future. I loved that story about the wristband also.
Stories like the wristband story are the kind of things that are bit underhanded and it might make you hate the little bit... except that it happened to LSU, and you know deep down inside, they deserve it.
I want to know how the hell they got the wristband off in the first place, did they all have shiv's and cut it off? They had to hold him down and even in a 9 man pile had to take some doing to pull it off.
Ahh Corey you know the wristband was found on the football field and the nice guys just turned it in. :
Bill, Google First Row Sports. That site should allow you to watch the game live. Click on AM Football for the link to the Fla - LSU game. Go Gators!
Thanks Dave. However I went there and kept getting advertisements right in the middle of the screen, some of them kind of obnoxious. Also I ended up with a bunch of windows open and unfortunately on one screen I signed up for an account and against some of my negative thoughts gave them a credit card number that they said would not be used. Thinking it was First Row I went ahead. It turned out to be some movie thing and I wish I had not done that. Any way it looks like I will be able to get it on Sportsline and thanks for your help.
I wonder if something has changed since I last went on there. Didn't used to have to download anything software viewer or anything. I just went there and noticed the same thing.
They are showing East Carolina vs Tulane but I do not see Sportsline advertising live feed for Florida. Sorry.
Look at the scoreboard. The games they are showing have a little video camera under the score where you would also see the gametracker.
Tom, FYI I do have the game. Because I have borderline internet I won't be posting, but I do have the game live on Sportsline. Thanks.
