Apparently there is a tentative agreement that might keep the Marlins in Miami!

There have been tentative agreements in the past that have gone no where.

Also I hope they have a parking plan other than parking on residents property near the stadium like you have to do for Hurricane games.

Watching home Marlins games has been dreary there are so few fans in the stadium. I question the location on the site of the old Orange Bowl though, isn't it in a very run down section of Miami, that doesn't seem like a good spot unless there is some sort of neighborhood renewal plan. In Houston the Astros and Rockets are in formerly run down areas, but there is significant urban renewal going on in that end of town and it's a fun place to go.

Terry, I have been gone from Miami so long I don't know how to classify the area where the Orange Bowl is now. I'm not sure if it is all that run down or not. I last lived in Miami in 1988 and had gone to games in the Orange Bowl right up until the time we moved.

    Maybe Gonzo will comment.
