Seems to me we should have a topic about the game.

The Gators are favored by 13 or 14 points and I believe will win. But this old Gator still remembers many a Sat afternoon that we were sure we would win, only to lose.

But I pick the gators 30-17.

Unless they have that same guy in the replay booth that we had at Auburn.

I think the Gators win as well, if for no other reason than the Georgia players will be all tuckered out from their long trip! :)

Georgia though baffles me this year, I thought they would be much better. I know that they've had their QB problems and all, but they just seem overall weak on offense, and the defense just hasn't played up to Georgia standards either.

That said I took the points and Georgia in Yahoo.

On the UF defense, which is highly ranked, but is a bend don't break type of defense. How do you Gators like that type of defense? Seems like most SEC defenses like to just come right after you and force the QB. Bend don't break lets the other team keep your offfense off the field a lot, and results in closer games sometimes than maybe should be.

Bill Is it true that the University's won't let anybody use the "Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" any more in describing the game??? Why?

... probably the same reason that Tennessee and Kentucky no longer play for the "Beer Barrel" trophy. It is now called simply, "The Barrel." We are getting to "PC" these days!

Terry, I would say that overall Gator fans are happy with our defense. However I would also say we would much rather see the Gators get more three and outs. Or at least to not have one of the nations worse records of third down completions.

I look for a more aggressive approach after the week off.

As far as the Worlds Largest Cocktail Party, yes there is an attempt by the presidents of both Universities to not use that name. However I think they are whistling past the graveyard.

I do think that gloryifing the drinking is not the greatest as it leads to problems, sometimes serious problems. I think that is what they are trying to address.

    Bill,

As much as I would like to see the BullDawgs get their act together this weekend, I don't see it happening. Even if Georgia did win, Tennessee has to beat the Gamecocks... or worse yet, Fulmer has to beat the evil genius for it to help us. Can USC beat Tennessee? NO! ...but Spurrier can beat Fulmer. That is my concern.

I will say good luck to you, Wendy, and MCG even though the Gators will not need it.

    Bill,

    Nice win for the Gators.

I wonder how many surprises or disappointments, the next three weeks will bring for the fans on the Skybox?

Bill, nice win. As I am watching the 4th quarter of the Tivo'ed Tennessee game, all I can say is that South Carilona is not the South Carolina of old. Vandy is nothing to sneeze at either. They put up 45 points on Duke. I know... it's Duke, but Vandy was able to score 45. You have Vandy and then South Carolina. Don't get caught sleeping!

I hate to say it, but I was shocked at how bad Georgia is on offense, their defense is good not great. But they aren't done losing this year, Ga.Tech will beat them and Auburn should beat them as well. That #87, why was he even playing, he dropped everything they threw his direction. That it was as close a game as it turned out to be is sort of a mystery to me, maybe Urban is too conservative.

Well maybe the fact that Chris Leake was possibly playing with a concussion during the Georgia game had something to do with the offensive struggles of the Gators. What's worse is that he suspected it and didn't tell anybody. I can appreciate toughness and playing through pain, but that was not toughness that was just stupid.

Here's a link to the ESPN Story on it.

Terry, I just heard about that earlier this evening. I think a concussion could sure have affected Leak.

Let's hope he is ok come Sat.

Leak now says he was just "dinged up" what ever that means.

Anyhow....I hope Meyer means it this time when he says Tebow will throw the ball some from now on. The kid has a great arm and his throwing and not running helped tremendously when the Gators beat LSU.

I can't understand his underuse vs. Auburn and Ga.
