I don't know, I didn't see it of course, but I think that guy is being unreasonable about the situation. He is of course implying that Muschamp didn't give a flip about his injured player and that neither did most of his teammates. I think that is just wrong, what happened is that those people didn't act like HE THOUGHT they should act.
I was there and the player had plenty of attention. My understanding is that there are rules that keep the players and the coaches from crowding to much while the medical person does their job. Muschamp did go up to the player before he left the field. My gut reaction is that this person has an agenda against Muschamp and took this opportunity to knock him. This is not a knock against Miles, I happen to think he is a good coach and his players like playing for him.
A postscript to the posting of this article: I had no intention of bashing Florida. I hadn't thought of the commentary as Terry depicted it, but I see Terry's point and agree with him. My original reason for posting was that it seems that Muschamp just can't do anything right in the eyes of Florida fans. I was partially correct in my assumption as it relates to only one fan. In the future, I'll try to think things through a bit more than I did when I posted this commentary.
Sid, I didn't and don't have any problem with your posting this. I only chipped in with what I saw. No problem and you don't need to overthink what you post at all my friend. And I will add that you certainly have it right about some Gator fans. When I first met a lot of you online at Prodigy the Gators were just coming into their own and I felt our fans were pretty great in their attitudes toward the Gators and when things didn't go as they would like they took it in stride. However there is now a crowd in our fan base that seems to think we should never lose a game, love to come down on the coach and are in general a real pain in the ass. And the percentage of our fans that are like that is much higher than I like to admit. Again though don't hesitate to post something about the Gators, you are not going to offend me.
Thanks, Bill. After reading Terry's post, I thought my topic might be interpreted in a different way than I intended it. Actually, you and I have something in common. We support our coach long after others have turned on him. I've had more than enough experience at that over the past 20 years. I'm hoping that Kelly is our guy for a long time to come.
