Throw out your impressions here as the day goes on. It's early, but one big thing is jumping out at me right now. Hundley may be a legit Heisman candidate, but we might not ever find out if his OL doesn't improve 100%. UVA is all over him so far.
N 14 OSO 13 Buckeye are in a real dogfight. Navy's option game is starting to really click. Also, Navy's white units are sharp
Dogfight is over. The big dog seized control of he game. Nice win by the Bucks against a solid Navy team.
We did not look too solid in the first half, but came back strong in the second half. I was pleased with the defense, considering we faced a very intelligent and disciplined team. Local boy (Darron Lee) who played QB here at New Albany HS picked up a fumble and returned for a 61 yard TD, J.T. Barrett had one pick in the red zone, but atoned with two nice TD passes in the second half. We are still work in process, but we might be a pretty good team by November?
I only got to see the first half but the big problem that the Bucks were having was in pass protection. An experienced QB often needs a little more time and the O line is really inexperienced at this time. As to New Albany High, my oldest grandson Patrick is playing freshman footbasll for them. The won today 33-31.
Golson looks good from what I've seen. Arkansas needs to be checked for roid use... their OL is monstrous, and is mauling Auburn's D. Too bad Bielema doesn't have a defense. ;-) Bama is struggling with another spread O. And surprisingly gives up a TD on special teams.
Alabama, Auburn and Georgia all in tough games. The only conference matchup is Auburn-Arkansas. Arkansas has looked better than expected and they were tied 21-21 at halftime. Auburn has since taken the lead. However on the important front the Gators are 45 minutes from kickoff with annual powerhouse Idaho.
I'm watching the radar in Gainesville and the storm just keeps building upon itself, it may be a while yet.
