Well Tiger missed last week because he was tired. KJChoi had back problems and missed this week. Phil is miffed at the commish and may miss next week. Still a great tournament this week. Tiger vs Phil 3 straight days, Phil staring Tiger down for the first time in his career. That shot out of the salad bowl on 18 was just brilliant. Brett Wetterich. If I'd been playing in a scramble with Brett, we'd have shot 60..I was hot with the putter today!! Would have made a bunch of those he missed.
Very enjoyable tournament to watch. I think that they could improve this playoff thing with one minor tweek. These guys don't like playing 3 or 4 weeks in a row. Why not have the 1st 2 rounds than have a week off with a minor tournament and then resume the following week?
OMG, I can't believe you even suggested that Gipper. I work all day, sneak out to practice for lunch, get a quick 9 in after work, do kids sports practices, homework, dinner, chores, PGA homework and still have to deal with the RedHead!! AND I'M SUPPOSED TO FEEL SORRY FOR THESE MILLIONAIRES? They are doing for a living what the rest of us lose sleep to do. I could care less how tired Tigey is or miffed Phil is. Suck it boys. It's 4 days of Golf, low man wins!! OOOOHHHHRRRRAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
Hey In baseball, when the Tigers are playing the Cards, they need a "travel day" when they change cities (even though it's an hour flight.) In the NFL after the Conference Championships they need 2 weeks to prepare for the Super Bowl. In college between the last regular season game and the BCS game there are weeks (and in the case of OSU months) off. So I suggest a week off in the golf playoffs. Perhaps if you or I could play world class golf we'd realize just how demanding it is..... On second thought, screw 'em it's just golf.
What kind of playoffs let the participants chose to play or not play? This is nuts...not that I really care. I don't really think the FedEx Cup has any cache' to it at all, it's just another big payday for the guys who win it. It's certainly not competition to the Majors.
