Expansion Hasn't Helped The ACC?

    Well to be fair, it's really hurt the ACC that FSU and Miami hit the skids for the last couple of years. They were counted on to be the marquee teams. The rest of the league just isn't likely to produce elite level teams, good teams sure, but not elite level.

    It'd be like if Texas and OU were medicore for a couple of years, right now there isn't anybody in the B12 to take up the slack.

    While I have to agree with you about Miami and FSU hurting the ACC Terry, I think the Big 12 has other teams that have been pretty good and will likely be back, Nebraska and Kansas State for instance.

    And I would have to believe Nebraska will be back pretty soon.

    Back to the ACC, I have been pretty impressed with Miami's new coach Randy Shannon. He is certainly cleaning up on the recruiting trail and doesn't put up with players who don't follow the rules. If he can coach on the field I believe he will be successful.
