I hope he can get his life turned around. Marucie Clarett is now enrolled at OHio State, working on his degree. Anything is possible.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out. He certainly was an outstanding QB last year for the Ducks and Ole Miss runs the same type of offense.

Maurice Clarett has been hired on as Special Student Assistant Coach in charge of Freshman orientation and adjustment.

He should be an expert on this! Seriously I hope he gets it done, we don't need more losers who go back to prison, we need guys who turn their lives around and maybe can help others avoid the same.

    This cracks me up!
Really Houston? While you had 3 QB's, his needs apparently didn't out- weigh yours, but as soon as one of yours was gone...

I was listening to Paul Finebaum a week or so ago and he had Tim Brando on and Brando said that Nutt called him and asked him what the media reaction would be to him taking Massoli. I forget exactly what Brando said but something to the effect that if he has a good year and no off the field issues then it'll light, if he has off the field issues and doesn't have a good year...look out.

Also while this rule is not used very much, I wonder how many "graduate courses" Massolli will be taking at Ole Miss? I wonder if it will exceed 6? Bet he takes the min he needs to play (whatever that is) and doesn't enroll for the 2nd semester of his "graduate" program and never finishes it anywhere.

I know I'm cynical, but it sure looks like Nutt forced Cotton out of the program to make room for Masoli. They're picked to finish dead last, then get a last minute chance to insert an experienced QB who produces 37 points per game...

Ole Miss gives graduate degrees in Parks and Recreation? Perhaps they've taken tetherball and hopscotch to another level...

NCAA rules allow Masoli to do pretty much whatever he wants. Since he graduated from Oregon, he became a free agent, with virtually no restrictions on his movements, contacts or eligibility...

All the guys he knew as a player are gone from Ohio State, so I wouldn't imagine other than being a former player he'd have any connection to the current team. And the players on the current team probably mostly remember him for his meltdown and don't really want to hang out with him, unlike say somebody like Cris Carter or other successful Buckeye.
