I haven't posted much lately..... unbelievably in late November I severed the quad tendons in my left knee..... after having ripped up those same tendons in the right knee 5 years ago.... In any event I have been wrong this year on Peyton Manning. The dude is amazing and one hell of an NFL QB. I don't believe we have seen the last of Tebow..... ( still can't believe the soon to be fired Ryan didn't give Tebow a chance with the season on the line the other night and stumblin bumblin Sanchez stinkin the joint up as usual....) ...... BUT...... you sure can't blame Elway for making that move. Wow...... great results! Let's see..... wrong on that one...... but right on many others..... i.e. ( Kelly at ND good....... Kiffin bad everywhere...... etc etc...and a few other stances I have taken too sensitive to mention..... )
Wow...there is no ice in Fla to slip on...so how did you do it? I've been waiting to make a post on Peyton! But didn't want to stir the pot as they say. But that said Manning has had a great year and I'm glad the Texans got to him early before he settled in at Denver. I fear though that the Texans will lose to the Colts on Sunday and end up in Denver facing him again. Tebow, is unfortuneately a rolling media circus. He's a tremendous young man, but I wouldn't really want him on my team unless he came as a TE or HBack.
Sorry to hear that Dave, although that last post leads me to believe they're at least giving you some good pain meds!
After being a life long detractor of anything orange and white, I'm sure that took some sole searching and intestinal fortitude to make that statement about Peyton. Whether I should commend you or the pain meds, I do commend you for that statement.
After reading the following post I want some of Dave's meds Dave I hope you heal up fast and sorry to hear about the misfortune.
Dave, I have left knee issues right now but nothing compared to your problems. Mine is more of a sprain affecting only the lateral collateral ligament (LCL). That happened a little over 48 hours ago and I am already starting to feel less pain. Hope you heal up quickly.
Thanks for the kind words everyone. So far....so good but a few weeks left with an immobilizer or a brace left to go. Bill indeed knows what I am going through...... not fun. I do have some Vicodin to keep me out of the worst pain but on the Peyton post I have been working that up all season and could have/would have sprung it weeks ago without this huge medical "distraction". Both times I did this it involved a missed step...... my basement stairs in Michigan and this time on the back of a Back Cove 37..... at the St. Pete Boat Show. Tom sounds like rest will help your knee out...... and good luck with it.
Thanks Stu..... Oh....and I made an early season call on JFF also...... before the bandwagon cranked up.
I sure do and don't want to go though it again. Hang in there Dave. Just how did it happen? Mine was slipping on a snow bank 5 years ago. I am pretty much back to normal. Good luck.
I remember yours Bill.... you had surgery. Last time I healed w/o surgery but a cast and immobilizer for weeks.... still very painful and inconvenient. This time I needed surgery.... two weeks ago and still the immobilizer.... what a pain. Missed steps both times....... jeez you would think I would learn.
Thank you Mrs. J RE: Tebow It is apparent to me that it was the NY Jets GM.... fired today....... who wanted Tebow in NY and not the retained Rex Ryan. In the end Rex had his way..... inexplicably sitting Tebow while the GM that signed him moved into position to be fired.
As a vested Jets fan, I am delighted to see Tannenbaum out. He made a series of very poor personnel decisions going back to Sanchez who had limited experience in college and terrible footwork for a QB. He will not be missed.
Dave, Sorry to read about your injury and hope you have a quick recovery. And I hope Tim is able to get the hell out of New York and given a fair shot to play QB for a team smart enought to figure out how to utilize his unique skills.
I second that emotion. Dave, you know from experience what you need to do to recuperate the knee. Take care and get better.
