ESPN summarizes where UF, Miami and FSU left off last season and where the programs want to be this coming season: Florida, Miami, Florida State and the state of Florida football
Pretty fair assessment. Right now Diaz is a 1st year coach and who knows whether he'll be any good. He's got fire in his belly and he's a Miami guy through and through. But he's got some rebuilding to do and Willie Taggart had a horrible 1st year and doesn't really have a QB for 2020, has to be some question about whether or not he's up to the job that FSU has historically expected from the program. Mullen however, had an excellent first year, has a lot of credibility as a HC from his term at Miss State and knows Fla from a recruiting standpoint. So advantage Gators...for now.
"So advantage Gators...for now" Yeah emphasis on the "for now" to be sure. But hopefully last season was the start of a cycle for Florida and we're still on the upslope fixin to climb higher.... I do think if we can get any decent production out of our offensive line then we'll be able to pitch it around the park as well as anyone with an improved Franks and the talented WRs we have.
