From CFN: http://cfn.scout.com/2/755198.html The "way too early" matchups from College Football News has OSU vs. Florida in the NC game. They have the Buckeyes getting in much the same way I described a couple of days ago.....beating USC but losing a Big Ten game. Also of note is ND's return to the bowl scene.....playing Gonzo's canes in the Gator Bowl......nice.
http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/6871352 Last year's predictions above have Hawaii and VaTech correct along with LSU in the NC game and WVa and USC in a BCS bowl. Chances are that this year's prediction will have some correct picks also...... 8)
LOL Florida # 1??? Refresh my memory, How many games did Florida lose last season? lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nobody is predicting UF at #1 TB.....just that the Gators look like they have a good shot at the NC game. Some have Georgia at preseason #1 but I find that kinda laughable considering the slobber knocking 3 TD loss Tennesse put on the Dawgies last year.....the same Tenn team that was annihilated by Fla only a couple of games earlier.
I don't know why I bother to respond to this, but since you asked Tailback, the Gators lost 4 games last year, one more than in 2005 before we won the BCS Championship game the next year. I seriously think the Gators are in your head Tailback, big time.
LOL Gator Bill. Yeah they are in my head a bit, but not CMR's! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwEMxYggoKQ
Give me a break Tailback, you wouldn't be talking so much about the Gators if they weren't in your head. As far as your team, who knows? What I do know that statistically winning three times spread out over 18 years is not a trend. Oh wait a minute it is a trend, that the Gators keep winning. I understand why you so badly want one win to be meaningful, and that you think it was meaningful to the Dawgs. Which it surely was. However the classless act on the part of the Dawgs and your coach was very meaningful to the Gators also and they will remember come Nov 1. But hey enjoy the fruits of your win for the next few months, you deserve it!
Here's one authors opinion of the 10 best BCS Bowl Games. Interestingly only 1 of the 10 involved a SEC win. The LSU/OU title game won by LSU. Texas/USC was #1 and OSU/Miami #2 and Texas/Michigan #4. The top 5 didn't involve a SEC team either. Top 10 BCS games
Trust me BT....if Ohio State wasn't involved in the race for the national title last year and possibly this year I could give a rat's ass what the Buckeyes are up to. Really.....
Not sure what you are getting at TO. I think a good close game is a criteria here so maybe the SEC hasn't been involved in close games....I can think of one in particular.... 8)
Whatever you say......it's apparent to all.   In your statement you captured the 08 and 07 seasons but seem to have left out 02,03,05 and 06 seasons. After your admission above, are you suggesting that your obsession started in 02 which is when we began to become involved in the race for the national title on an annual basis? Or was it after that? I can see how that would cause one to become unsettled.....
Well BT....it's true I never had any issues with you Buckeyes before Florida played em so maybe the attention has ratcheted up a little since 41-14....especially considering all the vitriolic comments put forth at times. In any event should OSU fall off the college football map...( not likely due to Tressel's coaching and the Big Ten overall weakness).... but should they do that I don't think you would see too many comments from me on the Buckeyes. I don't recall OSU playing in any NC games between '02 and '06 and so I don't believe the Buckeyes were the ones that merited the most attention nationally in that span. Heck for 2002 Gonzo said enough about the Buckeyes to go around for everyone. I used to have topical almost daily "discussions" with ND fans back in the day when the Irish were competitive and that may yet return....although Corey et. al. have been pretty silent as of late and ND is not much in the NC limelight therefore creating opportunities for heated debate. Then again if I or my team had been insulted by say West Virginia fans as many times on this board as I have been insulted by you I might be focused pretty hard on the Mountaineers instead of the Buckeyes...
You're kidding right? Some joke....I would suggest to you that under the circumstances and in the face of your obsessive rants, I have exercised extraordinary restraint. I would further suggest that the vast majority of regular contributors to this board would agree with me......I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
All of the referees in the SEC agree with BT. But then we know they all live in Alabama and hate UF.
