No doubt some believe everything the administration says and are quick to demonize the Oil Industry. But as always there is a contrarian viewpoint.
No doubt I have a personal interest here as I'm smack dab in the middle of the Energy Corridor here in Houston and drilling makes companies around me profitable with happy well paid employees who get their teeth fixed. But still this administration is so untrustworthy that it's beyond the pale.

    Wait a minute their bub!

Fortunately for the administration, they have plenty of delusional followers who buy every nugget of ******** that they throw out. They didn't mean to lie, it's Bush's fault.

OK...but with every oil company's safety memo worried about how to take care of Walruses in the GULF are you content....feeling certain the rest of them are all set to avoid a BP type disaster?

I live 5 miles from the Gulf and almost every weekend I enjoy it's beaches, seaside restaurants, sunsets ( rum enhanced ) and fisheries.

I don't trust any of those bastards not to totally finish what BP has started.

And as I have said before....specifically about the domestic auto industry in Detroit.....what self preserving CEO of any oil company would take the expensive....profit consuming short term steps necessary to ensure their company's long term survival?

I hope BP's eventual demise serves as an example of what the blind pursuit of profit without regard for reason....and preservation of public trust will lead to and I hope it helps to sink this wayward ship that too many ruthless cash drunken pirates want to ride on.

The problem as I see it is that with the advent of the short term....milk the effin profits to the friggin max CEO we have today there is no legacy connection....no long term accountability.
We need more guys like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs......people that run their companies and have a connected identity to the eventual direction and accomplishments of those companies.
