    No, not Script Ohio.

A Chicago radio station is reporting that Jimmy Clausen was out Saturday night and got into a fight at a local bar. Supposedly he is sporting two trophy shiners for his effort.

    What a year.

Tough break for Jimmy. Scrimaging against our D we know he never gets hit that hard in practice.

From what I read it was not a fight but a sucker punch. Clausen was at dinner with his family and an irate fan punched him.

CJ's is a popular burger joint in downtown SB. My son an his buddies almost lived there when they were in school. I think that the still stop by there when they're back in town.
Wonder how much that "fan" had on the game and how much he'd imbibed during the day.

If in fact he did sucker punch Clausen, he needs to go to Jail.

This is now a national news item. How ugly and how sad. One drunk idiot gives the entire ND family a black eye, no pun intended. When it rains it pours. What else can go wrong? Stay tuned.

From what I heard he was with Sam Young and when the other guy went to hit him Sam tried to step in front an protect Jimmy, but he slipped and the guy went around him and punched JC. :)

Seriously I've heard several stories, Pete Sampson is saying he was sucker punched but I've also read that it was a typical testosterone confrontation with JC and the other kid chirping at one another and somebody shoved somebody and then a punch was thrown and it wasn't a sucker punch. I also have read that it was a ND Alum who tossed the punch.

I'm reading that there was no police report so it's a he said-he said. We have seen Jimmy yapping and shoving other players on the field a couple of times so anything is possible.

Interesting, if true, that Sam Young once again failed to protect the QB 8)

Yeah I'm not shocked that Jimmy wouldn't just walk away if somebody started yapping at him. He doesn't do it on the field so why would he do it in (or outside) a bar. He was supposedly with his brothers, so I wonder why Casey or Rick didn't take charge and get him out of there when the yapping started.

I just made that up about Sam Young. Also thought about saying that he was with a group of ND linebackers who went after the kid but were picked off by the kids friends and never got to him. :)

Now its being suggested that it was a former player, an '09 grad.

Captains press conference should be interesting today! Former player from '09? Given how soft we've been as a team, that was a good thing for JC, if it'd been a former player from one of Lou's squads he might be in surgery as I type.

No former player. Some jerk hassling Clausen and his girlfriend. One of his brothers was with him too. Clausen walked outside and boom! He was at films Sunday morning sporting a pair of shiners.
