I personally hope the man is successful at Illiniois. I sure wouldn't trade Meyer for him, but feel he was mistreated by many Gator fans.

That is the same thoughts I had for Johnny Majors at Pitt.

I have contended from his hire that Zook will cause problems for every elite team in the Big Ten.

He won't win the Big Ten but he will keep others from doing so.

Illinois has given us some serious problems over the years, now it will be interesting to see how we fare with Zook this season.

Huh, Illinois has the #5 run offense. However, their passing game is not doing so well.

Illinois looked very good, their young QB Juice Williams played well, their RB looked great and the defense made the plays it had to do.

Zooks recruiting has made them very
competitive, we'll see if he can sustain his coaching through the season.

Bill: Did Zook take a lot of his Gator Staff with him to Illinois?

Wow ... 289 yards rushing by Illinois on 44 attempts.

Zook took two Defensive coaches (Disch and Woodford) and RB coach (Locksley - now the OC at Ill) to Illinois. Two other coaches went with him but they left Illinois and are at Ok State - Fedora OC and Wickline Oline.

    What Gaterz said Terry.

The two guys at Oklahoma State went with Zook then bailed out kind of leaving Zook in a little bit of a pickle if I remember right. But now it seems Illinois is better than Oklahoma State.

We'll see if Zook can have consistency, something he lacked at Florida.

I believe he has learned from some of his mistakes.
