    Anyone:

I have very little interest in pro-sports and therefore want the best system for college sports--Can anyone tell me which is the better system for college sports.

Just tired of my cable bill going up every few months.

    Thanks,

    Stephen

No Doubt it's DirecTV between getting all the Fox Channels, the Local over the air channels, all the ESPN channels, the NFL channel and the other packages such as GamePlan for college football where you get your out of market games from ABC, the Full Court package where you get a ton of college basketball, and Mega March Madness where you get every single game in the NCAA Tournament. Also you get CSTV (College Sports TV) and ESPU (more College Sports). It's got it all.

Dish currently has more HD channels than DirecTV but that will be solved this year when DirecTV upgrades it's HD offering.

I think Terry's right about Dish. However, there are times especially during thunderstorms that you lose transmission.

Yeah you do have that problem. It does have to be a really heavy downpour though, not just any old rainstorm, and my experience is that the really heavy stuff doesn't last more than about 15 minutes usually 30 max.

I alway know when the heavy rain is going to hit because I start to get pixelation of the signal about 10 minutes before the heavy stuff hits my house. I'm going to guess that really heavy snowfall will also take it out.

I do have a backup, in that I never took down my rooftop antenna so I can always switch to over the air during downpours. Doesn't help with stuff only available on the satelite, but for ND football and major network shows it does.

I have Dish in North Carolina, I haven't been there during football season yet though so don't know if I will be unhappy or not.

I can't get the NFL package, but don't think I want it anyway. Other than that I'll see this football season whether I'm happy or not.

<r>DirecTV works for me. Best all around for sports packages. As for rain disrupting my service...I live in El Paso.....what rain? <E>:D</E></r>
