    He's about half speed; no worries. But the team noticeably played with a lot more enthusiasm yesterday and scored some runs for a change.

    I see the Yankees playing the spoiler role the rest of the way.

    There are certain players who ignite the powder keg. Reggie Jackson called himself "the straw that stirs the drink" and that's a good description. There aren't many of those guys around, but Jeter is definitely one of them...

    You don't have to be a Yankee fan to like and respect Jeter, who has conducted himself throughout his illustrious career with grace and style. While other stars of the game have self-imploded (Can you say A-rod?), Jeter always has remained above the fray and has provided exemplary leadership as the team captain.
