Man what a surprise. Taken down 4-2 and 6-0 by the University of San Diego, a small Catholic school in San Diego. Not exactly known as a So.Cal baseball power, at least not that I know of, maybe JO'Co or Corey could elucidate.

But I'm sure the guys enjoyed the trip to sunny San Diego! Maybe too much sight seeing at Sea World, San Diego Zoo, or the bars on Mission Bay!

I don't put too much into these losses, and still expect a B12 title and CWS trip!

Yeah the Irish won't even play their first game till Feb 23 in a tournament in Tenn. As you posted in another topic though, these early starting dates will end next year. Heck even the MLB clubs haven't reported for Spring Training.

    Larry,

The Ags aren't in this year's MM tourney, so I won't be down.
We need you to scout all the local/XII teams and give a report.

    8) You rang?

My expert analysis of the situation confirms that Texas is dog doo-doo. They were whipped by a USD team made up mostly of illegal aliens and refugees from the Mission Bay Little League. The only honorable way out of this situation for the LHorns is ritual suicide...

I will be at the ban box all weekend as its my college baseball orgy time of the year.<br/>
I spoke w/ a scout last week that really knows the area here and includes the colleges. You will like this as he says the new Aggie coach and staff are on the ball and are recruiting demons. I think good times are ahead for the Aggies.</t>

This is what we get for hiring a over the hill coach from California. This isn't Over the Line or Beach Volleyball, we play real baseball in Texas! Send Augie back to California!

Terry, did you all replace a bunch of staff and/or lose a lot of players? That 0-3 start surprises me.

Gators start this weekend vs. Cincinnati. Looks like we don't start with a bunch of punching bags. After the opening series, it's down to Miami for 3, back here for a mini-tourny with Ohio State, Missouri, and Wake Forest. Then a single game with FSU before a series with Texas A&M. They shouldn't get much flack about their non-conference schedule with that line-up!

Well the Longhorns have clawed their way back to .500, including a walkoff homerun by a true freshman Kyle Russell to beat Rice 5-4. He hit off their ace reliever as well. I'm sure Larry has seen this young man, as he played at a Houston area High School. I'm also sure that Larry guffawed at Uncle Draytons expense as he watched Drew Stubbs make 3 outstaning plays in center field for the Longhorns!

Today they finish the Astros Classic with Tulane.

On the wimmens front BDR's wimmens wildcats shutout the Lady Longhorns in a tourney in AZ as well as no-hit Scott88's Ags. An interesting bit of gamesmanship developed in Texas/AZ game. In the 7th inning with AZ leading 1-0, AZ player Christi Mesa hit a bomb out of the park. Texas however successfully protested that the Az lineup card failed to include the first names of the players as required by NCAA rules. Mesa was ruled out. I wonder when the Texas coach new she had that ace in her back pocket?
