Any one besides me around that day? Where were you when Japs attacked? I was on the operating table at Rhode Island Hospital having my appendix out!

Had the opportunity and privilege to take the wife and kids to visit the Arizona Memorial while traveling a few years ago.....very moving. An extraordinary monument.....while we were there, one of the crew members - recently deceased - had his family and the Navy bury his remains in an official ceremony with his fallen shipmates.....not a dry eye in the house.
