Portions of an article published in the October 12, 2011 online edition of the Indianapolis Business Journal:
It is interesting to not that while he values Texas almost double over then #2 franchise (UGA) and that is a huge difference, that it really hasn't translated to much on the field. Texas has 1 Nat'l Championship in football since 1970 (2005). No Nat'l Championships in Mens or Womens Basketball. No Nat'l Championships in Womens Soccer. We have won several Nat'l Championships in baseball, but none in softball or volleyball. Now all of those programs have been successful but just not in winning titles. So money can't buy love, happiness or nat'l championships. But as a lady I once knew said to me.... I've been poor and unhappy and now I'm rich and unhappy, but honey give me rich and unhappy anyday!
It speaks well for the SEC that 6 of the top 10 schools on the list are conference members. Also, I'm mildly surprised that Michigan is 6 places ahead of Ohio State.
