Wow, Gene Keady sure paid a lot of money for his hair. Actually, I think he looks better now than he did when coaching Purdue. Great coach, though. Miss him not stomping on the sidelines for the Boilermakers. His teams played tenaciously and intelligently. http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2014/11/11/doyel-keadys-killer-combover-gone-but-not-forgotten/18805373/
I saw that article. I wonder if he listened to the people who told him it didn't help his looks. Perhaps no one was brave enough to tell him.
Turns out it was a love story and the new wife convinced him he looked just fine the way nature made him!!
Terry, after seeing your post above, I decided to read the article. When I said that I had seen the article, I had not read it. It's a very nice story. Keady was and is very well liked here in Indiana by fans of all persuasions. Like that phone conversation with the writer, he always was very approachable, unlike his rival coach at IU. Lemme see, who was that guy?
LOL. Read that story earlier. Thanks for posting it. Remember we had Jud Heathcote and Lou Henson hairdos during the same era.
