Time for a new topic since the real tourney starts today. Ralph and the Gator fans have a dog in the fight. Good luck folks!
Thanks Scott its currently Canes 2 -1 over the Gators but it's early. I'm in a hotel in Fayetteville North Carolina watching the game on my way to Haymarket Virginia to visit family. Go Canes
The Gators have been scoring a lot of runs since the tournaments started. I am cautiously optimistic about the Gators chances.
Been intensely following the Stanley Cup but keeping an eye on the UF girls softball and now the men's CWS. Go Gators!!
Vandy pulls off the comwback with a 2 run shot in the bottom of the 9th. Who knows if they manage that if the game was completed last night...
Scott, that's a good question. Given that Vandy's rally came in the late innings, it might have happened, but who knows? The CSF starter was near the 100-pitch limit when the game was called, but earlier the announce had said he threw 130+ pitches against ASU in a game this season. It sure seemed that Vandy couldn't do anything last night. Then there's my wife's rationale. She thinks that Vandy's problem last night was due to the black uniforms and changing to white today is the reason they won.
Virginia cooled off those Gator bats 1-0 and Miami avoided elimination by sending Arkansas home. SEC is 2-4 so far. TCU gets defending champs Vandy tonight. LSU/CSF in an elimination game this afternoon.
When you are half the field, you can't win them all... I figured the Florida/UVA game to be a slug fest... never would have thought it would be 1-0. Crazy CWS this year. LSU stays alive, sending CSF home. Not gonna say anything about tonight's game... I'd be 180 wrong the way this thing is going. 8)
Florida punches Miami out (sorry Ralph!), and the announcers mentioned this is the 4th time in 6 years Florida has sent the Canes home. Yikes! If competing in such close proximity for state swag wasn't enough to make this a heated meeting every time... that surely will throw some gas on the fire.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh It was a rough night with my son who is with us on vacation and enjoying the Gator win as a UF student. The Gators currently own us in in baseball and are 8-0 in post season play against our coach Jim Morris....
