    ....for Bobby Bowden?

    I like him, but it's a shame he has put the university in this position by staying too long at the dance. Below are a couple of comments by the chairman of the board of trustees. Based on the what he says in the article, it looks like a decision has been made, and they are putting pressure on BB to retire voluntarily.

    Bowden hasn't actually done any coaching for awhile now, neither has JoePa they are both just hanging on because they the like coming to the office and hanging out with the guys.

    The question to me is that JoePa's staff seems to have done a better job than Bobby's so why would you want to go forward with Jimbo Fisher as your head coach?

    If Jimbo Fisher is the HC in waiting, why in the hell is Amato the Executive Head Coach? I am sure it's just a 'money title' for contracts, but this is precisely why you don't do such things.

    I read that story about Amato and Fisher. I'm not sure it it's true or not but hey watching this circus is pretty entertaining to a Gator fan. :)

    I'm not a FSU or Bobby Bowden fan, however the man did build their program and I don't get a lot of enjoyment out of seeing this. Maybe some as far the school goes but I would have liked to see Bowden got out on a better note.

    Be that as it may it's tough in Tally.

    I understand her anger at the way it's coming down right now, but it would not be this way if Bobby had realized he was hurting the program by staying on and becoming a caricature of himself. He could have stepped down with grace and dignity, but he's chosen (no doubt for selfish reasons) to hold on past his time so much so that even his friends can't support him anymore.

    Exactly what I was thinking....could you imagine Pete Carroll or Urban, or Jim Tressel, Bob Stoops or Mack Brown signing on to that commercial???
