Actually I was thinking maybe this was him....Guy shot this in his front yard in Samson Alabama, shot him from his front porch. I assume Alabama or Samson don't have laws about discharging a weapon in the city limits, or maybe he was in an unincorporated area!

Ummm... Terry that's the story I linked in the original post.

They live on 100 acres, so I doubt discharging the weapon was a problem. Besides, you can use your gun in the city as long as you are protecting life or property.

I own a .38, but if a monster like that showed up in my front yard, I would have **** my pants while simultaneously shooting off one of my knee caps.

And Lloyd would have been trying to convince the hog that he never, ever ate a piece of bacon in his life.

    HA!
    1. That's a big damned hog
    2. You can pretty much kill those things anywhere except a Wal-Mart parking lot in Alabama.
    3. When I took custody of my son, my guns were sold off cheap for reasons.
    4. Sadly, that's not me.
    5. It would take one perfect shot from a crossbow to even damage that thing and the skin so thick that I doubt I could kill it before it carved me up.
    6. I'm getting old, so I am less optimistic.
    7. 10 years ago, bacon sandwiches for everyone.

Some friends and I were talking about this specific hog.

Things might be different in Alabama, but I doubt it so we believe that was probably a domestic hog that got loose, and has been living feral for a good while.
That has been the case in almost every Hogzilla story you see.
They just don't get that big when born as a ferals.

Also... a truly wild hog would have eaten that Schnauzer rather than be confused or frightened by the barking.

Corey... I think we have new signs on the interstate here that say: "HOG CROSSING - SWERVE TO KILL".

I've literally caught hundreds of hogs with dogs and shot the bastards as well, this hog is a bar (Meaning no nuts or testicles) this enables the animal to grow to almost crazy limits. This explains his vast size and lack of cutters to go along with those tusk, tusk need the cutters to sharpen with and he doesn't have any.

And to add to Scotts comment on domestication notice the short snout which this animal has, lots of domesticated blood in this hog with those floppy ears...

That being said this guy was GI Joe shooting it with his .38, good shooting on his part...
