by Zip Code. Surprising how dominant the Giants fans are in Calif, shocking how small the fan base of the Astros is in Texas, and the White Sox fans are an island in a sea of Cubs fans. Map of baseball fans
Interesting looking at Indianapolis Zip Codes...they are clearly Cubs fans with some Yankee and Reds fans in there....thought for sure they might be some Cardinal fans.
Terry, after reading your post, I went to the interactive Indiana map. It's pretty accurate in terms of the overwhelming Cardinals support in the SW part of the state. St. Louis is an hour closer to Evansville than to Indy. It's also accurate re: Reds support in the SE part of the state. However, I'm stumped by the breakdown in the metro Indy area. I did not realize that there were Yankees and Red Sox fans among us. I would have thought the Reds, Cardinals, and Cubs would dominate. I guess that's just my NL bias.
Was in a cool bar in what they call uptown Oakland two Friday nights ago and about midnight or so a bunch of Giants fans came in all excited because their pitcher Baumgarner .... had hit a grand slam to help the Giants win the game. Didn't see any As fans around..... Surprised in Tampa that it's not just a black blotch from all of the colors mixed together.
