Well folks, as I'm going through the picks I've come across a rather sad situation. NDFan77 hit 12 of 15 games correct for week 8, but forgot to put any points on the games. Any ideas how I should proceed with that? My initial thought is to drop 15, 14, and 13, but that sure seems harsh for the guy that picked near the most winners for that week... (A couple of you got 13!)
I say we have him drawn and quartered. Pick an arbitary % to penalize him. What else can you do. Don't be too rough; he clearly has problems already.
The average score for a game is 8. Give him 8 for each one right and have him write "I must remember to put the points with the picks" 500 times.
Gipper's idea sounds fair. You could also put 15 pieces of paper in a hat numbered 1-15 and draw out three from that lot. Those three are the points he loses. I actually like Gippers idea better... just throwing out options to keep from totally screwing him. However, if I did that in my Yahoo contest, I would get zero points. One of the 32 participants in that contest did just that last week.
Gippers idea sounds morally correct, however if that allows NDFan77 to pass me in the contest then I say he gets Zero points!!
I went random, and tossed his 15, 10, and 5. There needs to be some penalty for missing HALF the contest requirements. He missed week 9, so no worries about him catching you Terry. You better keep your eyes on Tom, he just blew past you! The scores are now updated...
