The best team won today. That Georgia running back, Marano, looked like a man against boys.

I was afraid of this game.

But Florida has a good young team and our future is still bright.

    Congratulations Dawgs and Dawg fans.

Bill.....I awoke this morning with a feeling of dread about this game knowing that the Florida defense just would not be up to the task.

When Gary Danielson held up cards illustrating that Georgia had scored in the 30s in their only wins since 1990 I knew we were cooked because I figured that is exactly what would happen again today and Tebow was limited for our offense to keep up as well.

Great game and win by a determined Dawg bunch.

I didn't see much of this game since it conflicted with the Neb/Texas game. But I did keep it on the secondary picture and it looked to be a very exciting game. That UGA TB really had quite a game and the Ga QB probably had his best game ever.

Gators are just too young this year, but like you say Bill the future looks very good.

Congrats to the Dawgs and Tailback. I don't think even he expected this outcome.

One of his last posts stated that he was headed to Vegas and was betting on Florida.

Congrats TB... unless you bet the house that is!

MCG, our defense just isn't good enough this year. Those young linemen should be great down the road, but we can't stop any decent offense right now. Our offense scores enough to win, but there is no room for error and we make some errors.

Oh well we need to win out, win a bowl game and get ready for next year.

I watched the game. Prior to the game, I would not have argued against Tebow as a Heisman candidate. That won't happen this year, but it's certainly possible in the future. All this game did was prove that Tebow is in fact human, which is intended as a compliment to his outstanding ability to move the ball.

    I thought Tebow was phenomenal.

He clearly was banged up and limited by his shoulder and yet he rushed for for key yardage and two TDs.

He only missed one throw on an open receiver (barely) and if not for Kestahn Moore and his turnovers Tebow could have led Florida to the win.

I think Tebow should have carried the ball on the 4th and 2 that UF didn't get but the coaches went with the end around that was blown up.

If you noticed Tebow carried his right arm close to his body all day.

    The kid is indeed Superman.

Dang it, I was not confident the UF defense could/would slow Moreno and they couldn't/didn't. Congratulations to UGa and Tailback and I hope you guys hold on to win the East. The schedule sets up pretty good with AU and UKy (what happened to the Wildcats???!) in Athens.

Now, with their big win over Ball state, the Illini are at 6-3 and positioned nicely for that match up against UF in the Outback Bowl.

And just FWIW, Tebow is still the #1 rated QB (passing efficiency) in the nation @ 176.50. With just 4 games left, I think Bradford is the only guy that can catch him.

Hopefully UF can play enough defense to get to 9-3 and even make the Outback Bowl.

Like someone said on Gatorsports we sure as hell don't want Clemson's Rbs in the Peach Bowl.

I also think that if Tenn is the SEC East rep and loses to LSU that UF could be selected for the Cap One.

That's the best we could hope for right now but with that defense who knows?

I don't know. History shows that the Heisman does not go to great QBs when their teams lose. Is that right. Heck no! But that is how it has worked in the past.

1997, Manning lost out to a relatively unknown (outside of Michigan that is) DB. Now lets vote today. Would Manning get the heisman or would Woodsen?

Tebow certainly is deserving of the heisman... but will he get it?

Manning not getting the Heisman was one of the biggest Heismen screwjobs ever... IMHO.

I was simply pointing out that even with a "below par" game, Tebow was still the highest rated QB in college football after having played the 6th or 7th most difficult schedule in the Bowl subdivision. Also, just as a point of reference, the NCAA has BC's schedule at #37.

I'm not sure Tebow "deserves" the Heisman - and don't argue that point - but how do we really determine which player "deserves" it? I still ask the question ... when healthy, is there a better college football player than Tim Tebow, today? Who really knows?

And, if UF had a defense even remotely as capable as the squad it fielded in 2006, I submit Tebow would probably be the Heisman front runner and UF would be undefeated at the end of Oct 2007. So, does he lose the Heisman because UF can't recruit and develop (perhaps quickly enough) a decent defense? Probably so.

Jake Locker at UW could be a good bet in the next few years.

Good point on the fact that if UF had even a decent defense then Tebow would stand a great chance of being the Heisman shoo-in with Florida sitting at #1 and 8-0.

With a defense I don't see game that he would have lost so far.
