    8) Gonz,

A great win over a stubborn and tough Duke team at home.

We all know how parity has affected college football today.

Even the worst teams can give the marquee teams a battle.

I can't wait for Miami to make the top 25 this week.

I hope that Miami is included in this weeks contest vs N Carolina so I can lay down 22 points on that game.

Duke's QB Thaddeus Lewis is a Miami product that was not recruited by the Canes....he's much better than the rest of his team and amassed 400 yds offense in the previous game.

Miami is taking small steps in the right direction with 400 plus yards of offense for the third consecutive week and a whopping 9 sacks vs Duke to go with the 6 sacks vs Texas A&M

There are no expectations of being Top 25.....this is a rebuilding year after Larry Coker's regime.....we are looking good next year and the year after that.

Everyone is rebuilding. Just look at the 2 deeps and you will see top 25 teams laden with juniors, sophs and freshmen.

Juniors are jumping to the NFL, seniors who can come back for a 5th year are discarded if they are not starting. You have transfers, academic casualties, injuries , and team violators affecting the rosters. Few teams have 2 deeps loaded with juniors and seniors. That's the exception more than the rule these days.

Gonz, I am going all out if the Miami/NC game is in the pool. I will even risk my lead to do so. That shows you how much confidence I have in Miami.

 8) AJ....I wouldn't bet the farm on Miami beating NC and Butch Davis at NC.....but I wouldn't bet against them either.

We are a sputtering two-good-quarters-team on both D and O....very vulnerable to any stubborn opponent.

If you wait until Miami plays FSU at Tally....and if we win.....we'll have a reasonable shot at the ACC crown.....humble expectations coming from a diehard Miami fan.

It could be worse....we could be an ND/MIch/PSU fan

 8) There's a telling stat that may give us a clue of Miami vs North Carolina.

...NC ranks 100th in sacks allowed while Miami ranks 4th in sacks....20 sacks so far this season.

Asides from superstar Calais Campbell...watch Eric Moncour on the D.....we'll see if Miami can win on the road for the first time this season.

If we do.......AJ's predicition of Miami coming into the Top 25 may happen as there are some games this weekend to change the lineups around quite a bit.

Hope UF shows better @ LSU than Miami did @ UNC.

Florida just witnessed Tennessee win over UGA. A loss at LSU would drop Florida below Tennessee. Meyer WILL NOT let that happen.

    Hey Gonz

<t>Do they award points in football for sacks?<br/>
    <br/>
You could have used a few against the 'Heels tonight</t>

Hey,if you read my previous posts.....I am not unhappy nor surprised Miami lost to Butch Davis.....BUT.....I am thrilled at the almost comeback and the incredible effort QB Kyle Wright made in cutting the deficit way down from 27-0 to almost a win had the clock been ticking a couple of extra minutes.

Miami will be good perhaps as early as this year but assurredly in the next tow years.

I am having a field day with all the losses that took place yesterday.....very interesting
