For three days now, my computer has been bombarded by advertisements and crazy pop-ups. Most want me to download "FLV player" or "click to update and check for viruses." A lot of this stuff has Microsoft looking logos or other official looking graphics, but in small print it says things like "Ads by Superlyrics."

How do I get rid of this stuff? I have to click on everything twice now...

I had a similar problem. It required some substantial work to clean up the mess. I used a remote programer at LogOnFixit.com named Mike. He spent over 3 hours removing infected programs. The main culprit was in my browser and I couldn't get rid of it. Good luck.
