Quite often we saw top SEC matchups on CBS with Vern Lundquist and Gary Danielson. I'm not sure that there will be that much difference. Of course, there will be a lot more coverage of SEC games on Sportscenter and other ESPN shows....
SEC network goes live on DirecTv on channel 611 tomorrow. As long as you have the "Choice" programming package or higher, you get the channel with no action on your part. I know what will be playing in the background while I work in my home office tomorrow.
For SEC fans it should be good. While I know that Longhorn Network is an object of derision since they have not been able to get the coverage from the major providers and so both ESPN and Texas look foolish. But those Longhorn fans I know who do have the Longhorn Network really like it.
I love Alabama and I am obviously a SEC fan. I'm not sure how much I will watch this channel though. Right now I probably get 8 or 9 Alabama games on one of the ESPN or regular channels. I just don't watch that much TV. I wouldn't mind watching some old classic Alabama games though.
kp, I think that between now and the start of football season there are going to be a lot of past games played. I won't be watching it day in and day out but was interested in the kickoff. Also I think it might help see games for other than football that you may not be able to see. Whatever, if for no other reason I am glad because of the money it will bring to our schools.
Oh, my day is now made, I just got to see Paul Finebaum. On daily from 3-7? I guess I have to give Corey his due as to the impact that Finebaum has. I will not likely be watching him much but he will be prominent.
