Big 10 announced the plans for the season. Truthfully I'm not much of a Hockey fan, except that ND has been pretty good in recent years, so I enjoy the wins even if I don't really watch the games. I assume this means that the other leagues will also be playing , but I don't really know. ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Big Ten Conference office announced today that the 2020-21 hockey season will begin as soon as November 13, 2020, and will feature 24-game conference schedules, plus an additional four games per school against Arizona State University hosted at Big Ten venues. The 2020-21 schedule will conclude March 18-20, 2021, with the Big Ten Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament. Big Ten Announces Start Date for 2020-21 Hockey Season
I'm not really sure why Arizona State is being included in the schedule, it says 4 games per school at B10 venues. So ASU will travel to Big 10 Country and play the 7 Big 10 teams 4 times each...all on the road? 28 Road games? They really signed up for that?
It looks like the B10 has only 7 teams and so having ASU as an 8th team means no team is sitting out while others are playing and they all play the same non con team. For ASU it's a lot of travel but 1. Most of their players may well be from the upper Midwest and their families can see them play and 2. It's got to help then in recruiting in the north.
