Alabama's started yesterday. 1st day, so not much info. A few non-participants because of injuries but otherwise not much news.
Buckeyes started last Wednesday. We should be vastly better on the defensive side of the game if coaches salary is any indication of success
Aggies started this week, but will be off for Spring break this coming week and resume the following. EVERYONE IS A STUD AND WE'RE GOING UNDEFEATED!
Listen to this guy! Former Texas QB Rips UT Saying Only Three Players Had Cars (heartlandcollegesports.com)
From George's link 17 or 18” players getting a vehicle through name, image, and likeness is impressive, especially when Thompson says that only three Longhorns were getting the same kind of opportunity in Austin. “If you’re a starter [at Nebraska] you can make over six figures.” Of course they are, they are dominant in the B1G!
I see Harbaugh has hired a female as a Grad Assistant at Michigan. She played college basketball at Boston College and as a Grad Transfer at Georgetown this season. Her brother is a DE on the Wolverine squad. She will work with QB's. She has no experience coaching football.
Haven't heard much lately on new helmet designs... The Riddell Axiom is first helmet to analyze and report impact data to the coaching and training staff. Ohio State redshirt sophomore quarterback C.J. Stroud is among the handful of players testing out the new Riddell Axiom helmet during spring practice. The helmet, which is Riddell’s first new design since the SpeedFlex in 2014, is the result of feedback from players, coaches and equipment managers with the goal of improving impact response and reducing head injuries. It uses a scanning app to capture the three-dimensional image of an athlete’s head and uses that to customize an internal system of pads for a personalized fit. Ohio State Quarterback C.J. One thing we know for sure about Texas this spring. Sarkesian will not name a starter at QB between Quinn Ewers and Hudson Card. Other than that I'm sure we'll see improvements across the board as the players will all be bigger, faster, smarter, more committed, etc. Just like everywhere else in college football!! Like everyone else the big hope is that we don't have a major injury to any of the projected starters. Oh yeah and Austin Car Dealers still aren't handing out NIL cars like they do in Lincoln!
Big Weekend ahead for the Tide! The chase for arch manning continues this weekend after stops in Athens to see the Georgia Bulldogs and Austin for another look at the Texas Longhorns. Recently, Texas pulled out all the stops with Sam Ehlinger and Colt McCoy returning to help convince Manning to choose the Burnt Orange. This weekend it will be the Alabama Crimson Tide that will host the No. 1 recruit in the 2023 class. Head coach Nick Saban and the staff are expecting some huge visitors over the weekend alongside Manning. According to Joseph Hastings of On3, this is a “crucial” visit for the Tide. Recent recruiting projections have Texas as the clear-cut favorite to land Manning
It would be great to get this kid, but I don't remember any recruit getting this much media attention. I guess it's because of his last name. A lot of pressure on this young man.
It would seem almost impossible for him to live up to the overall accomplishments (including the NFL) of his two uncles, but time will tell.
I wonder how long he will drag out his recruitment. QB's traditionally are early comitters, as it impacts the rest of the skill position recruiting. Last year we lost some wr recruiting battles because our qb in the class was not an elite prospect. The wr's especially the elite level kids want to be in a class with an elite level QB
