    Fascinating article. 5 out of the top 10 are from the SEC with Florida and Tenn at 11 and 12.

    Looks like college football reflects the country at large with more and more wealth shifting to the South.

    I don't think you'll see too many SoCal schools make lists like that. A lot of the money generated is in the sale of jerseys, caps, jackets and clothing; all of which have been banned in the local schools here. For example, because of the gang problem, my school district bans any clothing which has an "LA" logo on it: even Dodger caps. The usual rule is "no school logo or identification, except the school which the student attends."

    My own enforcement of this rule is somewhat selective. I ruthlessly confiscate anything marked with the letters "USC."
