Now that Ohio State has finished the 2010 football season and a win in the Sugar bowl, I am ready to discuss basketball. Buckeyes are off to a good start at 15-0. Last night at Iowa was the closest game thus far in this early going. Three of the four opening conference games are on the road. Team much better than I anticipated after losing Evan Turner. Freshmen Sullinger and Arron Craft have more than picked up the pace. Big East looks very strong this year. Duke has to be the team to beat, Kentucky, Kansas, KS, all look strong. Should be a great season to watch some great games.
Nice win by the Irish over UConn last night. Of course it was at home and they lost to the Cuse on the road over the weekend, still a good start in the Big East.
I was very suprised to see the Irish beat UConn last night, excellent win. The Big East is very strong and very deep. Just making it inside the top 8 in the conference will mean you have had a good year. I would expect that the Big East will have 7 or 8 NCAA tourney teams this year. I haven't seen the Buckeyes play, but 15-0 is testament to how good they are, Thad Matta is just an excellent coach and a very good recruiter.
Dave, What are your thoughts on Floida this season? Terry, Notre Dame is playing some great basketball!
Don...the Gators have some very good moments like easily beating K State and ending a 30 game home winning streak for Xavier but they have been inconsistent in a couple of losses and were outclassed by Ohio State. Definite NCAA tourney team though as an at large.
Anybody got a spare point guard laying around? The Aggies would be very dangerous this year if we had better play from that position. Alas... we are lacking there right now.
Ah so grasshopper, you have learned well, must have point guard to distribute ball for scorers to score!!
