I saw the catch. It was a game saver for sure. Great effort.

Jim Edmonds is a great defensive OF capable of making the same catch, but last night was CC's night. Bunted his way on, stole 2b, came home with the winning run on Big Papi's 2b off the wall. Then.....THE catch.

The camera caught him on the dugout steps drinking a can of Red Bull. Wanna bet that today sets the all-time record for sales of Red Bull? :)

There's been a lot of great catches this year. That one that the Texas Ranger CF made to rob Mike Lamb of a HR last week in Arlington was incredible. He reached over and down the back of the CF fence to pull it back. I don't know how he did it.

    SOCCER CELEBRACION!!

<r>Streets of downtown Providence ( and Boston) still showing signs of the night long parties yesterday. Italian flags are out in front of the hundreds of Italian restaurants in the mini state alone. I am hearing that Boston went totally crazy in the North End. <E></E></r>

    Terry.........

<t>I saw the tape of it and not sure that was not one for the ages. In fact that guy has had a great year period. I love the Edmonds and Griffey over the wall bring bacls but the one Matthews pulled off was awesome to say the least.</t>

They have Italians in Boston? I thought it was an Irish neighborhood!

woops..I meant to start a new topic for this.Yes Boston has its Irish neighborhood ( Southy) but equally as big is the North end Italian neighborhood. Rhode Island and Eastern Ma, ( Fall River, New Bedford, Cape Cod etc does have a huge Portugese population). I guess you can say this area is a melting pot for imigrants who poured in from mid to late 1800's to early 1900s. Hardly a person I know cant be traced back to Ellis Island.
