My guess 1965 Jim Maloney of the Reds no hit the Mets through 10 and then lost it on a homer in the 11th.

Didn't Harvey Haddix lose a perfect game in the 13th inning?

    :!:

Last night's Dodgers- Pirates game was one of the greatest games I've ever seen. Don't be too hard on 3rd Baseman Logan Forsythe, he's our regular 2nd baseman. He was playing 3rd base to give Justin Turner a night off. Dave Roberts has been resting the starters for weeks now on a regular rotation. Other players have been placed on the 10-day DL who aren't really hurt. Those currently include Bellinger and Wood. The downside to all of this resting is having some players playing out of position... like Forsythe.

It was a great game. Rich Hill, aka "Psycho" smothered the Pirates using just 10 pitches per inning. There were some great defensive gems behind him, but most of the effort was his. He made it look easy.

The Pirates were the opposite. They fought off and throttled the best team in baseball with great courage; forcing the Dodgers to strand multiple runners in nearly every inning. In the end, they got a walk-off HR to win it. Their effort, and refusal to give an inch, was inspiring to anyone whoever played this game...

The Dodgers became only the 6th team since 1913 to win 90 games this early in the season. Once again the team sat several starters, including Corey Seager and Kenley Jansen. Brandon Murrow got the save...

How about that Mets front office! Granderson in hitting HRs for the Dodgers into the river in Pittsburgh and Jay Bruce is parking them for the Indians in Boston. Maybe they'll trade Syndergaard to us for a map to the stars homes...

Chris Taylor has the 2nd most extra base hits in the NL. #1 is Giancarlo Stanton...

Miggs is a grown ass man, but he's not very smart. You never fight the catcher.

    1. They are wearing protective gear.
    2. They are usually tougher, smarter and willing to stick their nose right in the middle of it.

After Miggs got off to a violent start, Romine shot his knees, turtled him and beat the **** out of him. With the tempo I saw both bullpens carrying, I thought this was going to get more ugly than it did. There's clearly not a lot of love between those two teams.
