Sorry, but I don't believe it. Not only does Muschamp have a game this weekend to prepare for and even if it is E. Kentucky, he's still employed by UF and owes them his full attention. But also the Aggies have a DCoord, and it'd be a dick move to bring in somebody like Muschamp to interview for a job that currently isn't open. I'd believe that somebody at A&M would have talked to his agent about how he feels about working for Sumlin at A&M. But him coming to College Station for an interview. No way.
I have a feeling that Muschamp will be watched about as much for where he goes as UF will be watched for the new coach coming in. He is that good of a defensive coach I believe. Pretty deadly if he were to be on a team with an offense.
You mean like in 2009 when Texas went undefeated and would have won the Nat'l Championship if that mean ole Alabama DT hadn't hurted Colt McCoy!
It was interesting when Lane Kiffin went to Bama as an assistant but really.... who wants to go against a Muschamp defense on an otherwise good team that has an offense? He could be a missing link to a championship. Buckeyes? Miss State? Georgia? South Carolina? Nebraska? Even FSU is not amongst the top 50 in total defense this year. How good would the noles be with Muschamp running the defense?
Most of "us" think it's just someone trying to be funny. I would take the guy, he knows defense. Right now the big name on everyone's list is Randy Shannon. Pretty good record as as D-coord, and excellent developer of LBs. Something we haven't had since RC was canned. Kinda sad since as Terry mentioned, we still have a DC at the moment.
Corey, as a matter of fact some idiot did track the UF plane to the Northeast Part of the country. Probably there to go to the NFL game with Buffalo this Sunday. Oh wait that game has been transferred to Detroit. Crazy.
