We leave tomorrow for Amsterdam and will take a cruise down the Rhine River to Basel where we leave to return home on Dec 24. We fly in and out of Atlanta and will spend Christmas eve and Christmas with my wife's sister in Atlanta before returning to Franklin on Dec 26. We should have some internet service but I am not sure just how much, but I would hope to check in sometime. Our 50th anniversary is in April and this is our present to ourselves. We are really looking forward to this. If I don't get online before then every one have a Merry Christmas. Christmas Markets Cruise
Tom, we will go straight to the ship when we get to Amsterdam and after flying all night will no doubt only spend a few hours wandering around. But out of curiosity what kind of laws are you talking about?
Sounds like a wonderful trip. Enjoy yourselves. 50 years is a great accomplishment (at least for her )
Bill, not enough space on Skybox to list out the Islamic laws you wouldn't want to violate while in a heavy Islamic state. I wouldn't slap a female on the arse... I wouldn't make prolonged eye contact with most anyone.
What a beautiful present to each other COngrats on the 50 next year will be our 44th, just a tad behind you.... Take lots of pix. Enjoy yourselves.
Or 85% Dutch. I'm not sure what your comment means, I can't imagine that Amesterdam has Sharia law in any way shape or form even with a large muslim population.
Oh oh I meant gipper but can't seem to edit on mt iPhone. We are in Atlanta about to leave for the airporty
Terry, you are absolutely right. However, there is a high presence of Islamic influence. Maybe "don't break any laws" was the wrong way to put it. but some of the 15 districts of Amsterdam are almost 100% Islamic and street law is the law.
1. have a great time. 2. Happy Anniversary 3. It's Amsterdam, do whatever the hell you want and if someone barks, just pretend to be Canadian.
Our stay in Amsterdam was limited and we are not on the cruise. A little setback though is that I had a 24 hour bug and it appears my wife is coming down with it now. But life goes on.
hope you two are feeling better soon... saw a Chrsitmas travel special on Christmas Markets...... there was one ornament shoppe Jim said he wouldnever let me in because I would have to buy everything in it..... Have a wonderful time you two deserve it.
