I guess the point is that she doesn't like big time college football as it exists today. Or that the Church affiliated colleges shouldn't be big time programs. Whatever, I gave up on SI many years ago.
I agree, Terry. The tone of the article tells me more about the writer than about his topic. I shrug my shoulders at the off-the-wall topics some writers choose just to attract attention to themselves. Like Bill I don't read SI. This article reminds me why.
Selena is a "he" now??? She is a NY Times columnist who recently went to SI after Rick Reilly left...he was really good and she is...Selena Roberts. Selena Robers
Don't care if it's a he or she. It doesn't change my feelings about the article. IMO "good columnist" + SI = oxymoron.
Stu, I stand corrected. When I quickly read your above post earlier today, my interpretation was that you were supporting her and were saying that she is as good as Rick Reilly. At the time I was not able to check out the link. Now that I've read the linked article and go back and re-read your post, I see what you you actually were saying. We are on the same page re: Ms. Roberts.
Oh oh Stu, I could claim it was my keyboard that left the s off of she. Ok, I won't claim that, changed it though but still don't read SI.
Aw, I read SI...doesn't get my dander up as much as Newsweek does...I really looked forward to Rick Reilly's columns... Haven't read the issue covering the BCS game yet...Hell may freeze over first (sigh).
