I saw a guy on NDNation post that his daughter is a teacher in Calif and he said her district had a meeting and told them if Prop 30 didn't pass that

Is that true, is it a district by district thing or will all districts including yours be forced to do this?

Yes, it's all true. I've already voted NO on Prop 30 meself. If they want to pay an old guy like me $50k to work less than 150 days that's fine. I can also call in sick 10 times......draw Social Security on top of my pay; unemployment insurance on top of that,......and collect it all forever, because their rules also say that they can't force a teacher to retire. Why retire when everyone is throwing money at you for sitting on yer arse?

:? It is a Jerry Brown trick to throw a little terror into parents,,,, the bill does not give anymore more money it repeals a bill 188 that was passed in 1988 or there around that states the state budget include a certain amt be given to the schoold this Prop 30 does away w. that allowing them to purge more money away from schools and raising our State tax even higher. Prp 38 is a bill just where money goes to the schools but even that wont pass it allows school administrations to run the programs and they pay themselves first. Its sad no one in the government here cares about the kids. or the education system its all talk they want to secure their retirements and "special agendas like saving the coast and their views "
