A lot of central ohio fans are upset about restrictive TV coverage of this weeks game with Indiana. ESPNU is carring the game and not a part of the two local cable channels. Normally WBNS TV will pick up the game if not on Regional on National TV, via ESPN Plus. My niece has Comcast and she can pick up the game, so I will view it at her house. Indiana definitely has shown improvement and we will have home field advantage in the noon kickoff slot. Something tells me will not win by the point spread. (30) George will probalby tell me to relax! Don
Same thing with Texas fans with regards to games and the TV package. The Sam Houston State game was on PPV, that really ticked off a lot of people. It will be interesting to see if the defeat of Iowa has the Hoosiers rolling. I doubt it of course. But who knows.
The following is an excerpt from our local Fort Wayne newspaper. The entire article describes in excited and optimistic tones how IU's season can be successful by building on the Iowa upset and by winning at least two more games to become bowl eligible. However, when it comes to this Saturday's game vs. Ohio State, this is what the writer says: No one with a brain in the Hoosier state is expecting a miracle.
...it's a strange world indeed. Sports channels are proliferating, cable and PPV channels now number in the hundreds and they say the digital world is upon us....I've signed up for ESPN Gameplan annually since its inception for one reason and one reason only and have not missed a Buckeye game in my home for over a decade and unless I'm missing something, I won't get this one????!!!! ..... if you ask me, ESPN/Disney is outsmarting themselves....it's difficult to imagine an enterprise who can hope to succeed by pi$$ing off its customers! Using the leverage of a pi$$ed off Buckeye Nation to hold the cable providers hostage.....the dirty ba$tard$!
Probably our best 60 minutes of football at home this fall. Beautilful sunny day and mild temperatures. Troy & Ted Show was good for five TD passes, four from Troy and one from Ted to the tight end. Well balanced attack with 270 on the ground and thru the air for 540 yards. Indiana a very young team, but a lot of fire and determination, just too many weapons from the Buckeyes. Don
