I will be glad when this one is out of the way. The best thing about this game in my mind is A&M is the last patsy games we will schedule. Next year we open with Navy, Virgina Tech, Kent State and Maryland. Being favored by 57 points for this game can cause a major problem of getting ready for the game?
That's too bad they are one of the top Black Bands around, right there with the band at TSU (Ocean of Soul) and the Southern Band which is called the Human Jukebox. I have to assume that the cost of taking the band to Columbus would have been too much. Ohio State should have paid their way in addition to whatever the fee for the football team to come to the game!
I think that it was because they are not yet back where they want to be from their suspension. I don't think money was the problem.
I forgot about that, it was pretty nasty if I remember..didn't some kids die during hazing? Well it's too bad you guys would have been in for a treat.
I could care less about the band, I just want us to cover the points! No way will we cover the spread on this one.
Terry, You were almost perfect in your prediction! Not sure how much good this win did for our preparation for Whisky next weekend. Kenny Guiton had a field day with six touchdowns through the air in the first half.
A couple of additional observations from yesterdays game. Guiton and Bridgewater are tied for number of TDs through the air at 13. Not bad for a back up QB. Ezekiel Elliot, freshman running back notched 162 yards yesterday in the second half. Looking forward to Wisconsin next Saturday and a night game here in Columbus in Prime time.
Kp, I will be the first to admit the first four games have been less than challenging. We will know more after the Wisconsin game!
Don, after 4 weeks, it looks like the Bucks and Badgers are the best teams in the B10. Looking forward to watching this game on Saturday as the games between you two are usually hard hitting, fiercely contested slugfests. Re Bucky this year, they seem less self destructive than they were under Beilema. They have an first rate offensive line and a trio of running backs any of whom is far better than any rb in Ann Arbor. They are the only team in the B10 that can match if not exceed OSU's physical play but I think you guys have more refined skill players and better overall team speed although all three of Wisky's backs can flat out fly. bucky's weak link is QB. Stave has the size and arm strength of a NFL QB but so far has not thrown the ball with a competent degree of touch or accuracy. Also my guess is that the Bucks will be able to exploit their secondary. If Michigan played them this year, they would flat out maul us. But, the past few years, the Bucks have been able to match or at least withstand W's physicality and beat them with your superiority in talent and speed. Suspect that this pattern will be repeated this year in Columbus but this will be a fun one to watch.
Bobda, One thing for certain this Saturday is we are going to be forced to stop Wisky's running game. Our defense is young and improving, but this will be our first real test. Buckeye Terry asked me to send you his personal regards. He has chosen not to return to the Skybox, at least for awhile.
Don...I should have gone to Vegas!! Probably could have made some money giving the 57 points! So what are you guys going to do at QB? It would seem that Kenny Guyton has earned his job on the field, but then maybe Braxton Miller would have done even better. I guess that's a good problem to have isn't it. Has Urban announced who will start the Wisconsin game?
