This story doesn't probably mean much to y'all...but Tom Hamilton is my favorite play-by-play guy. Does the Cleveland Indians but also does a great job (IMO) on basketball for the Big Ten Network. Here he is watching (not broadcasting) his son's first at bat at the Big League level; http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/indians-broadcaster-tears-up-watching-his-son-s-first-mlb-at-bat--video-130302656.html?vp=1
For sure I don't know him, but the story is a great story. We had a guy named Milo Hamilton as the Astro's broadcaster for years, very popular....I wonder if they are related?
Wow! Nice story! We don't get stories like that in Dodgertown; quite the opposite. I remember when Al Campanis traded his own son...
I gotta be honest here...if my son was stuck on the Indians....well.... I'M KIDDIN'!!....Great story..... On a side note, just back from Grand Island, NE....Tax write off #3 took the mound to start the game....5 scoreless innings...gave them a 4-0 lead....bullpen and defense lost the game in extras 5-4.....and you think Tom was crying....
