I was going to post this under the ND-Stanford topic, but I thought I'd highlight the news, so all the loyal Notre Dame fans seeing it can rejoice. http://www.indystar.com/story/sport...0/21/notre-dame-ad-brian-kelly-back/92523528/
I'm not at all surprised that Swarbrick would be supportive of Kelly. There is no point in calling him out in public. GM's and AD's indicate full support of coaches right up to when they change their minds and don't. I do hope the bye week has recharged and refocused the team, I still think this team is better than 2-5, a winning streak to end the season would be much appreciated by this fan! It will be very interesting to see next years team. The WR's and OL will likely be back, maybe not Tori Hunter. Alize Jones will be back. I won't be shocked if all the RB's are back, including Taurean Folston. The defense will lose a few more, Jones, Rochelle, Onwahlu, I think Luke as well but we'll get Nick Watkins and Shaun Crawford back and a lot of freshmen will have played this year and gotten experience. The big question is will DeShone Kizer come back.
ND <t>I'm not surprised either. I will say this, the biggest news that could possibly be for the Irish between now and spring practice is Kelly getting a kick-ass college defensive coordinator. He needs to get this right.</t>
