I mean WTF, after a mediocre season for the Jets last year you'd think he could see that he's no longer the QB that he once was in his prime. I guess instead of walking away with his head held high he'll have to be drug off the field kicking and screaming.

The only thing I see is that the Vikings do have a big hole at QB that was supposed to be filled by Sage Rosenfelds (bet he's just thrilled that the Vikes are bringing in Brett) and they have maybe one of the top RB's in Adrian Petersen. The other thing is that I'm sure there will be high drama when the Vikes and the Pack play.

Heard this morning that after starting 8-3 with the Jets, he had an arm injury the last part of the season. Maybe he still has something in the tank.

Weak arm. Forces the ball into tight coverage, Can't get out of his own way. And I have very good seats!

The Houston NFL beat writer was on drive time sports this AM. He said that Farve cooled on the Vikes when they wanted him to come now and do the minicamps and stuff. He said that he expects Farve/Vikes to renew interest in one another in June before training camp.

For the most part, people in the Badger state are pretty passive. They can be taxed to death on nearly every aspect of their lives and simply shrug and lumbar on. But, there are two matters that can turn even the mildest of Cheeseheads into revolutionary madmen. One-any state infringement on their right to consume alcohol would result in the state capitol being burned down and the governor and legislators hung on lampposts. Second, any cable company foolish enough to carry a Packer game only on a restricted channel like the NFL network will have its assets seized by the state and its executives imprisoned.

The Packers and beer are the sacred icons in this state and Brett, when I moved here is 07, was the Supreme Deity. From the time the Jets story broke until season's end, the comings and goings of Farve was front page news and the lead story on the local TV news. If Al Qaeda had detonated a nuclear bomb in Racine the same day Farve signed with the Jets, the picture of the mushroom cloud over Racine would have been on p.2 of the Journal Sentinel. But, it seems that even the most loyal of the Farve cultists have soured on him after the recent story of his flirtations with the hated Vikings broke.
