I think in reality there were no plans whatsoever to take him alive because of the hassle of keeping him in custody somewhere. He didn't get what he deserved however because he died too quick and easy.
I think that there was a concern that he might wear a suicide vest or have a weapon hidden in clothing. They might have taken him alive if he was naked. Too bad for him he wasn't. I'm just sorry he went out so quickly.
Yeah, I agree with ya. Quick shot kill was too easy on him. What should have happened is we take him to the Everglades, stripped him down butt naked, poured lime juice all over him, and let the Bugs work on him for about 2 hours....then (George will love this) you take him to a simple little shack, put his genitals in a vice, hand him a dull butchers knife, look at him and say "It's your choice now", then set the shack on fire. If he comes running out, then shoot him, starting at the kneecaps first and work your way up. Damn, I forgot about ripping the eyelids off with needle nose pliers.

The worst thing that could have happened is that we would have captured him alive. The circus that would have ensued would have been epic, the cost to the govt to house him some place secure, finding commie pinko ACLU attny to defend him. Then when he was convicted listening to all the commie pinko wennies cry about how the death penalty was so wrong for him. Then what to do with the body, we'd have not been able to dump him at sea he'd have had to been buried someplace facing Mecca and it would have become the holy grail for Islamic extremists to find his grave. I just finished the latest Tom Clancy book where they capture this SOB. They give him a drug that paralyzes him and then precipitate a heart attack. With the use of a resperator and defib they can eventually bring him back and tell him that they can do it over and over again. He talks.

re: Osama details coming out On the way home today I heard on the radio that Osama knew what was going down, because he crapped his pants before they shot him. I don't think this was as "quick and easy" as the official White House reports suggest and they have already changed the story several times. Those SEALs were in there for forty minutes and only one shot was fired at them early in the operation. If he had time to crap his pants, then he had time to consider the error of his ways...
